Only A Year is an immersive, sensory theatre work created for babies aged 0-12 months and their adult carers.
Exploring the passing of one year of time, Only A Year is a delightful and poignant performance experience that considers the first year of life as both the longest, shortest time imaginable. Featuring, puppetry, visual theatre and storytelling, the 30 minute performance is scaffolded by a stunning immersive and tactile design, created for babies to explore.
Concieved and directed by Sarah Austin with collaborators Nick Barlow, Rainbow Sweeny, Richard Vabre, Chris Wenn and Hannah Murphy, Only A Year enjoyed a critically-acclaimed and sold out season as part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival in 2017 and won the festival award for the Best Kids Event.
Only A Year is currently available for national and international touring in 2019/20.
